Headline: JET Launches Internal Investigation into Suspected Manipulation of King Hussein Bridge Booking System
Amman – JETT Executive Advisor Nidal Al-Majali has announced that the company has launched an internal investigation into suspected manipulation of the King Hussein Bridge booking system after irregularities were detected.
Al-Majali said the investigation is ongoing and involves individuals suspected of exploiting the reservation system.
As a precautionary measure, the company has suspended the booking modification privileges of 30 employees. Ticket amendments are now restricted to senior management and require prior approval from the Information Technology Center.
He stressed that JETT will pursue legal action against anyone found involved in selling travel appointments or engaging in illegal brokerage activities.
Al-Majali also revealed that the Minister of Interior has directed the relevant authorities to take the necessary security and legal measures to identify those responsible and refer them to the judiciary.
He noted that high-level meetings have been held over the past two days to address the situation at the King Hussein Bridge and develop mechanisms to eliminate brokerage practices. No employee is permitted to modify bookings or access the reservation system without special authorization.
Al-Majali called on citizens to report brokers and provide evidence to support the ongoing investigations, adding that extending the bridge's operating hours would significantly reduce opportunities for illegal brokerage.
He concluded by affirming that JETT's electronic booking system will remain in operation and will not be cancelled despite the newly introduced control measures.
